"It started when I received an "Easy-Bake™" oven when I was eight years old, and it progressed through college."
After receiving her B.S. in Education, Jo taught high school and community culinary classes; dabbled in making chocolate; and worked as a caterer and food broker.
In recent years, she decided it was time to take her love of cooking and good nutrition to a new level. With her family’s support, she enrolled in an intense, four-month professional program at The School of Natural Cookery in Colorado. Upon completing the program, I opened “The Natural Cook” in 2009.
"My mission is to empower the everyday person to nourish their mind, body and spirit with natural foods. Ultimately, I want to help people implement simple, “clean” food preparation strategies, so they can enjoy food – while achieving a healthier lifestyle."
Through The Natural Cook, Jo provides an assortment of group classes and one-on-one mentoring.
